Sensor Tower - App Overview

The Task

One of my first tasks at Sensor Tower was to redesign the App Overview page. This was the most trafficked page in the Sensor Tower platform and was also indexed in search engines as a free preview to Sensor Tower’s enterprise solutions.

The Older App Overview Page

The older page was very overwhelming and lacked hierarchy. It also had a very dated look and feel and lacked consistency. The legacy pages were also all using an older Javascript Framework called Knockout so part of the first thing I suggested was to update to React and introduce a new component library and design system for ease of use for both the devs and designers as well as provide a better user experience for all future pages and products.

We conducted numerous user panels with existing users and internal personnel to ultimately decide on the final outcome for the page. We also referenced our internal reporting tools like Amplitude to inform which sections to prioritize and focus on.

 Redesign Outcomes

• 96% growth in enterprise user average daily page load events.

• Preset overriding dropped 6.4%
